"Barry Shepherd (house captain of Salisbury) and Chris Blakey (Norwich, I think) were the first choice wing-forwards (as we used to call them) that year, although Barry had played as full back for the firsts the year before.  The chap sitting at right on the ground at the front was hugely talented.
