Golf Day 2025

Old Wymondhamians Golf Day and Reunion
Dunston Hall - June 27th 2025

The annual golf day was held on Friday 27th June at our now regular venue at Dunston Hall. Only three golfers took part this year – Barry Wood, Chris Chamberlin and Mike Herring. Chris unfortunately had to drop out after 12 holes leaving Barry and Mike to fight for the very fine Bob Rowell trophy. This was the first time Barry had played for a year due to injury but was still using his old handicap. Due to a complete lack of golfing skills Mike was playing off 56 and it’s very difficult to lose with that sort of start. He duly narrowly won the trophy after some 22 years of taking the booby prize!!!

Twenty-six ex pupils sat down for the evening meal at Dunston. Despite his recent broken leg it was good to see that Bob Rowell managed to attend.
