The photo was taken to mark the departure of Anne and Adrian Hoare.  They came to the College in 1974 and Adrian had been Housemaster since 1977.  Anne became Deputy Housemistress in 1983, having previously been a care assistant, relief Matron and supply teacher.  Both had a variety of outside interests: Adrian wrote a book 'In search of Robert Kett' and Anne produced many local maps and pamphlets as well as researching the history of the 231st Station USAAF Hospital.
