The Rec Room (late 1963)

The Rec Room one of the rooms in the new Sports Hall that was open like a snack bar for a short while after school was over each day. Note the bottled drinks on the table, a luxury not available anywhere else in the school. Typically this was open to a specific year each day, usual on the day after each year had sports lessons in the afternoon. This was the only place where boys and girls where able to socialize, except during organized events, in the days before the halls became mixed.

Left facing the camera is John "Tommy" Young, next to him back to camera is Pete LeGrice and on the right also with his back to camera is David Digby.
