"I found this among my WC treasures ... as you can see it's rather old & creased but was obviously carried around in the early 60's when a lot of us young teens were in love with Mr. Davitte.  I don't remember how I got the photo, but it does have his signature on the back. He drove a small black car; can't remember the make, but the registration was SLH 178."

Linda Wyatt (Bunting)

Mr Davitte joined the College in September 1961 to teach History and was attached to the then North House (later York) in Lincoln Hall as an assistant Housemaster.  The car noted above by Linda was later swapped for a very tasty MGA - there is a photo of it (with Keith) in the Jim Douglas Collection.
