This photo of Matilda Jolly was taken in 1986 when she had been a cook supervisor for 26 years, the last 10 spent at the Cook-Freeze unit. She retired shortly afterwards. Matilda was interviewed by Joanna Swindells and Tom Wood for a College Magazine article and told them that, on that day, 200 Eccles cakes, 480 coconut rounds, 700 steamed puddings, 280 apple puffs and 400 buns had already been prepared. The Unit supported a number of other locations, including local schools in Attleborough, Wymondham, Norwich ... and the Castle Museum.
