The new
building, attached to the old on one corner, has been christened “Ralphs” making
the 6th form house the first to achieve a double-barrelled name –
“Lincoln Ralphs”. Lower 6th (Year 12s) are mostly housed in the
old
Downstairs
there is an extended refectory/canteen area and, adjoining this, a contemporary
styled “bistro” area with comfy modern seating and a baguette/Panini/salad bar
to reduce pressure on the canteen. There is also a new ICT suite
downstairs with 40 computers, a ‘snug’ with big screen TV, sofas and beanbags, a
music room, and a reading room, as well as several smaller common rooms dotted
around the place, and a very impressive semicircular “plaza” surrounded on all
sides by the new and old building. As you can see from the pictures, it’s
quite an impressive building and has attracted a fair number of visitors and
publicity for the school.
