Golf Day 2017Contents The Gallery Past Reunions 2017 Golf Day |
We all enjoyed meeting again at Sprowston Manor, the weather was pleasant and we assembled on the patio at the Clubhouse in the afternoon before the Dinner in the evening in the Suffolk Suite.
It was wonderful that Eileen Baron and Pam Seeley joined the party again this year.
We welcomed David Bligh and Heather Bligh (Roy) from Australia. David played golf but unfortunately they were unable to join us for Dinner as they headed off for the start of their cruise.
Sadly Gerald Livick-Smith and John Kirkland have died since we last met. We will miss their company and have happy memories of their time with us.
Margaret Norton joined us in 2015 and 16 and we wish she had been with us in earlier years. She became unwell last year and sadly died on July 11th. We will miss her happy presence.
Sean Cunningham was unable to defend his title as his son was getting married in New York but plans to challenge to regain his title in 2018.
Those from later decades would be very welcome to join us.
The results of the Golf Event were:-
Winner - Men | Barrie Croxford |
Winner - Ladies | Carole Arnold |
Longest Drive | Barrie Croxford |
Nearest Pin | Tony Pyle |
Award for Greatest Endeavour | Mervyn Taylor |
Arrangements are underway to meet again next year at Sprowston Manor on Friday July 6th 2018. I will keep everybody updated with all details.
