Golf Day 2023Contents The Gallery Past Reunions 2023 Golf Day |
It was great meeting again at Dunston Hall. The weather was fine for the golfers and the non-golfers enjoyed a chat in the Clubhouse. We all enjoyed our reunion meal in Bunkers Bar in the evening.
We enjoyed meeting Lori (Kentish) Dyer and John Dyer (who met at the College in the 1960's) and Brien Traves (1980s) who contributed greatly to the golf and we look forward to them joining us next year to defend their titles.
Unfortunately some of our friends could not be with us but we enjoyed having a chat with Eileen and Carole and all our friends.
Phil Robinson and Steve Read joined us again to hold the June STAR 100 Club draw.
The results of the Golf Event were:-
Winner - Men |
Brien Traves |
Winner - Ladies |
Lori Dyer |
Award for Greatest Endeavour |
Steve Read |
Longest Drive |
John Dyer |
Nearest the Pin |
No golfer laded on the green but Chris Chamberlin holed his putt from off the green. |
Mike Herring has retrieved the trophy from Mervyn Taylor now his house move is completed and it is on its way to Norfolk for Brien to receive. Thanks Mike.
Provisional bookings have been made to meet next year on June 28th – to be confirmed when we know of any event that may be taking place at the College to which past students are invited.
