Herb Atkins, Wallace Gowing & Graham Smith. Probably 1962, when we were in the 4th form. Every Sunday we were turfed out of our Houses for a ramble in a set area of the local countryside (not the same one as the girls). Graham had a portable transistor radio and was the envy of us all - not that you could pick up much Pop on a Pre-Radio 1 Sunday! Private radios were very much forbidden, but we were allowed to listen to Radio Luxembourg for one whole hour after Chapel on Sunday evening. Wow - thank you Mr Hawkyard Sir! - Herb AtkinsContents The Gallery On Walks Passing the Time
