Mike Thorogood discovered this photo of catering staff in the kitchen of what was probably Peel Hall, around 1960. Mike says "The lady second from the right is cook Lucy Mann, she died recently in her mid-90's. I am still friendly with her son who managed to dig this out. The gentleman in the centre is Ben Lister, the kitchen porter/handyman; his brother still uses our local club for a game of crib. Lucy worked there for many years. The lady at the front was Madge, but I can't find a surname; she was assistant to cook." Madge is peeling and coring a box of Tasmanian Apples.
